2026, Here I Come

In past years, I spent my New Years Eve looking back: recounting memories from the year, taking inventory of all the things I did or didn't accomplish, and processing the feelings that accompanied the last 12 months. This New Years Eve, I just wanted to focus on moving forward.
Here are my 2026 Resolutions
You are more than what has happened to you. Your refusal to let go of the identities created by others are holding you back. Free yourself.
Be bold, be brave, be forthright — and the bold, brave, and forthright will follow.
Feelings are the greatest gifts. How lucky am I to live a life filled with so many emotions? Embrace them, feel them, and move through them.
You don't need permission or approval from those around you to chase your dreams. Chase them all.
Conformity is a weak mans tool. You were never meant to conform. Be yourself even when it hurts. Especially when it hurts.
Do it scared, do it nervous, do it fearful. Just do the thing.
Stop inquiring whether someone is "worthy of love". Love given is never wasted, even if it's not reciprocated in the way you hoped.
Grief is a friend you will never escape. Set him a place at every table.
Stop taking inventory of all you've lost, and relish in all you stand to gain.
Every single day is a gift. Every single one. Remind yourself how beautiful it is to be alive.
